The Andong Dam is an embankment dam on the Nakdong River, 4 km east of Andong in Gyeongsangbuk-do province, South Korea. The purpose of the dam is flood control, water supply and hydroelectric power generation. Construction on the dam began in 1971 and was complete in 1976. The 83 m tall rock-fill, central clay core dam withholds a reservoir of 1248000000 m3 and provides water to an 80 MW pumped-storage power station. The lower reservoir (afterbay) for the power station is created by a 20 m high and 238 m long weir.

The Imha Dam is an embankment dam on the Banbyeoncheon River, a tributary of the Nakdong River, 14 km east of Andong in Gyeongsangbuk-do province, South Korea. The purpose of the dam is flood control, water supply and hydroelectric power generation. Construction on the dam began in 1987 and it was complete in 1991. The 73 m tall rock-fill, central earth-core dam creates a reservoir with a capacity of 595000000 m3 and supplies a 50 MW power station with water. It supplies water for both municipal and industrial uses to Gumi, Dagu, Masan, Changwon, Jinhae, Woolsan, and Busan.
