Mohegan Sun

Mohegan Sun is one of the largest casinos in the United States, with 364000 sqft of gambling space. It is located on 240 acre along the banks of the Thames River in Uncasville, Connecticut. It is in the foothills of southeastern Connecticut, where 60 percent of the state's tourism is concentrated. It features the 12,000-seat capacity Mohegan Sun Arena, home of the New England Black Wolves of the National Lacrosse League and the Women's National Basketball Association's Connecticut Sun. It houses a 350-seat Cabaret Theatre, the 300-seat Wolf Den, and 100000 sqft of meeting and function room space, including the Northeast’s largest ballroom and 130000 sqft of retail shopping. It is also where the studio of WMOS is located.

The Mohegan Sun Arena is a 10,000 seat multi-purpose arena in Uncasville, Connecticut located inside Mohegan Sun. The arena facility features 30000 sqft of configurable exhibition space and a 400 ft clear span. It was built by the Perini Building Company, and opened in October 2001.

It opened its doors in October 1904, and though the number of patients and employees were drastically reduced, it remained operational until October 10, 1996. Norwich State Hospital was a mental health facility initially created for the mentally ill and those found guilty of crimes by insanity. Throughout its years of operation, however, it also housed geriatic patients, chemically dependent patients and, from 1931 to 1939, tubercular patients. The hospital, which sits on the banks of the Thames River, began with a single building on 100 acre of land and expanded to, at its peak, over thirty buildings and 900 acre.

Foxwoods Resort Casino is a hotel and casino complex owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation on their Mashantucket Pequot Indian Reservation, within Ledyard, Connecticut. Including six casinos, the resort covers an area of 9,000,000  sqft. The casinos have more than 380 gaming tables for blackjack, craps, roulette, and poker and have more than 4,700 slot machines. There are several restaurants within the casinos, among them a Hard Rock Cafe.
