Forks is a city in Clallam County, Washington, United States. The population was 3,558 at the 2010 census. The population was 3,783 at 2016 Estimate from Office of Financial Management. It is named after the forks in the nearby Quillayute, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Sol Duc rivers.

Bogachiel State Park is a 123 acres Washington state park located on the Bogachiel River approximately 6 mi south of the city of Forks on Highway 101 in Clallam County. Bogachiel was established in 1931; the state began staffing it in 1961. Park activities include picnicking, camping, hiking, bird watching, and wildlife viewing.

About 78 mi long, it flows west through the northwest part of the Olympic Peninsula, from the Olympic Mountains of Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, then through the broad Sol Duc Valley. Near the Pacific Ocean the Sol Duc River joins the Bogachiel River, forming the Quillayute River, which flows about 4 mi to the Pacific Ocean at La Push. Although the Quillayute River is short, its large tributary rivers—the Sol Duc, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Dickey Rivers—drain the largest watershed of the northern Olympic Peninsula, 629 sqmi. The Sol Duc's watershed is the largest of the Quillayute's tributaries, at 219 sqmi.
