Comboios de Portugal (CP) is the national railway network of Portugal that spans over 2700km, with trains split into three main types: regional, urban and intercity trains; international and domestic high-speed trains; and international night trains. The Alfa Pendular, the fastest train in Portugal, is a popular travel choice, as it can run at a speed of up to 250 km/h. You can book train tickets up to 60 days in advance.
