Lendava Synagogue(Opens in a new window)

Lendava Synagogue (Slovenian: Sinagoga Lendava, Hungarian: Lendvai Zsinagóga, German: Synagoge von Lindau) is a former synagogue, currently a museum. It is located in the small town of Lendava, Slovenia, close to the Hungarian border. It was built in the 18th century and today has a permanent exhibition on the History of Jews in Lendava. Near the synagogue was a Jewish school, which functioned until the 1920s and was demolished in the end of the 1990s to allow the construction of a Hungarian cultural centre and a cemetery with 176 tombstones, about 40 from the second half of the 19th century, most of the rest from the 20th century near the village of Dolga Vas, just outside town.

Vinarium Tower (Slovene: Stolp Vinarium; Vinarium Lendava, Panonnian Basin Lighthouse or Prekmurje Eiffel Tower) is a Slovenian steel construction 53.5 m (176 ft) tall observation tower in Dolgovaške Gorice, a village in the middle Lendavske gorice region above Lendava. It stands at 302 m (991 ft) above sea level near Hungarian border. Architects are Oskar Virag and Iztok Rajšter from architectural office Vires. This is the highest observation tower in Slovenia. Tower was officially opened on 2 September 2015. Tower allows view in four different countries: Slovenia, Hungary, Austria and Croatia. They expect 30,000–50,000 visitors per year.
