The Chautauqua Institution is a non-profit education center and summer resort for adults & youth located on 750 acres (3 km²) in Chautauqua, New York, 17 miles (27 km) northwest of Jamestown in the southwestern part of New York State. The Chautauqua Institution Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was further designated a National Historic Landmark.

The Jamestown Gateway Train Station, also known as the Jamestown Erie Railroad station, and the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Station, is a historic train station located at Jamestown in Chautauqua County, New York. Although no longer an active railroad station due to a lack of passenger service in the area after a restoration done in 2011 the building currently serves as a bus transportation center and community space for Jamestown. The first train arrived at Jamestown on August 25, 1860 as part of the Atlantic and Great Western Railroad.

The Wellman Building, also known as the Wellman Block, is a historic commercial building located at Jamestown in Chautauqua County, New York. It consists of an 1897 masonry bearing wall structure and a steel frame structure built in 1910. The 1897 building is a five story, Renaissance Revival brick building. The 1910 addition retains the Renaissance Revival style. The building originally housed a druggist and stationery store on the first floor, with offices on the upper floors.
