Hulhumalé or Hulhulemale (Dhivehi: ހުޅުމާލެ) is a reclaimed island located in the south of North Male Atoll, Maldives. The artificial island was reclaimed to establish a new land mass required to meet the existing and future housing, industrial and commercial development demands of the Malé region. The official settlement was inaugurated by President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom on May 12, 2004.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital(Opens in a new window)

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) is a state-owned Multi-Speciality hospital, and one of two hospitals in Malé, Republic of Maldives. The hospital is located at the west end of Malé. The hospital is a gift from the Indian Government and is dedicated to Indira Gandhi. IGMH replaced the previous sole hospital, Central Hospital, located at the center of Malé. Central Hospital was later demolished and the location was leased to a private party by the Government to make another hospital.
