Rome2rio has developed an extensive, purpose built, unique repository of train, bus and ferry bus routes. Over 600 transport operators are represented in our database, which is the largest online repository of surface transport routes anywhere online.
The repository is constantly expanding as we add new data from a variety of sources. To keep up to date with new coverage, like rome2rio on facebook, follow rome2rio on twitter, or check out our blog.
Rome2rio also searches flight schedules for over 670 airlines licensed from OAG Aviation. Data from Open Street Maps is used to provide driving and walking directions for most countries worldwide.
Rome2rio has extensive coverage of the European train network, extending across 52 countries from Ireland to Russia and from Norway to Spain. Bus coverage is provided in Croatia, and some metropolitan transport is available such as airport links and the London Underground.
North American trains and intercity buses are covered by rome2rio. Train coverage includes Amtrak and ViaRail. Bus coverage spans the routes of over 170 transport providers ranging from large companies such as Greyhound and Trailways to small providers such as Central Oregon Breeze and Badger Bus. We've also included metropolitan transport for several large cities where GTFS feeds are available. Ferry routes in the Caribbean are also covered.
Rome2rio has coverage of the extensive train networks in Japan, China and India, as well as bus services in India. We've also added some trains and buses in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Japan and Sri Lanka.
Most inter-city train and bus routes are covered in Australia. Metropolitan train, tram and bus networks of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth are also covered.
Transport coverage in Africa is currently limited to trains in Morocco, Egypt and South Africa. We do not yet have extensive train or bus coverage in South America.
Rome2rio searches the routes of over 670 airlines, covering the full spectrum of low cost carriers and full service airlines.
Rome2rio uses data from several sources including API data feeds, GTFS data, outsourced and in-house data entry.
